McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s most renowned wine growing regions, nestled between the Mount Lofty Ranges & the coastal beaches of Gulf St Vincent. The township of McLaren Vale is only 35 kms south of Adelaide, South Australia’s capital city. Willunga is only 46 kms south of Adelaide.

Drive up Willunga’s High St, continuing up to the top of Willunga hill. Turn left into Meadows Rd & then left into Range Rd. Enter via gate on LHS (Tango Sign) - McLaren Vale Institute Hall, Main St, McLaren Vale (opposite the main shopping centre & next to the new Piazza della Valle)

Adelaide to McLaren Vale
Traveling by Car: (approx 40 mins)
From Adelaide CBD, travel down Anzac Highway (A5) & turn left onto Main South Rd (A13) traveling south towards Noarlunga. Continute along Main South Rd until Darlington & access the Southern Expressway (M2) (if it is open to southern traveling traffic), otherwise, continue traveling down Main South Rd to Noarlunga. Turn left onto the Victor Harbor Rd towards McLaren Vale (A13) & at the McLaren Vale exit (signposted) turn left into Main Road of the McLaren Vale township.
To continue to Willunga: From Victor Harbor Rd turn left at the Willunga exit (signposted) & merge onto Aldinga Road. Turn right into High St, Willunga. McLaren Vale to Willunga: From McLaren Vale’s Main Rd, simply travel all the way through McLaren Vale, continuing along Main Rd direct to Willunga.
Traveling by Train & Bus:
Trains depart every 25 minutes from Adelaide Railway Station in North Terrace, for Noarlunga Centre (Monday – Saturday) & every 30 minutes on Sundays. The train journey takes about 35 minutes to reach Noarlunga. From Noarlunga Centre, you can catch a Bus that stops at the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre (Route 751). Traveling by direct Bus Service:
You can catch a Premier Coachline Bus from the Adelaide Bus Terminal, that stops in McLaren Vale & Willunga, on route to Victor Harbor. Check the timetable at http://www.premierstateliner.com.au
Cycling:
There is a dedicated bike trail running parallel to the Southern Expressway, from Bedford Park to Noarlunga Centre & then on to the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre. The linear track is also a nice ride (the former railway line) between McLaren Vale & Willunga.
