Tango Class & Private Tuition Rates
Tango Courses & Costs (from 1 July 2010)
GROUP LESSONS
8 Week Tango Course Cost: $110 per person for 8 consecutive group classes.
4 Week Tango Course Cost: $55pp for 4 consecutive group classes.
Casual Classes: $16.50 pp per class
Casual Class Concession Rate: $13 pp per class for full-time student concession, or pension discount. No concession rates available for health-card holders or similar.
Student Concessions: $13pp per class (student card must be shown), although we still highly recommend that you come to a block of 8 classes for continued revision and consolidation of what you are learning each week on a progressive basis.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Casual Private Lesson: $80 per hour (per couple or single).
Private Lesson Intensive Course (4 Classes booked consecutively): $240 total (per couple or single).
Small Group Private Classes can also be arranged for your group of friends. Rates are negotiable depending on the number of couples attending.
Venue: The Seacliff Studio, 50 Kauri Parade Seacliff (or at another venue by arrangement - any extra hall hire expenses will be added to the private lesson rate).
Wedding Tango Private Lessons:
If you are getting married & would like to dance a romantic Tango or Tango Vals at your wedding, Southern Cross Tango offers special courses of private lessons to couples & wedding parties. Even if you have never danced tango before, Adrienne & Andrew will teach you how to dance elegant tango, with some gorgeous moves suitable for performance at your wedding!
Rates - Special Intensive Private Lesson Course: 4 classes consecutively $240 per couple. Wedding Tango Courses can also be tailored to include a combination of group classes and private lessons. Choreography & Performance Tango:
Andrew & Adrienne Gill are highly experienced creators of original Argentine Tango performance choreographies for solo couples, or group routines. They have choreographed tango dance routines for over 30 tango show productions. Tango students wishing to learn an original Southern Cross Tango choreography for performance in a Southern Cross Tango show or Special Event Milonga can undertake a series of intensive private sessions.
Group Choreography Courses:
Southern Cross Tango offers Tango Choreography Courses at their Seacliff Studio. Tango Couples can register their interest in the course, and couples will be selected according to the criteria of the particular level & style of group choreography being taught.
For professional dancers & dancers from other disciplines wishing to learn an original Argentine Tango, Vals or Millonga choreography for the purposes of performance in another arena (such as a professional or amateur show, floorshow, theatre production, dance showcase or similar) an intensive private session program can be tailored, with price available on application.
